Has been a while since I last went kayaking and looking around different places prices were either too high or I had to buy paddles/straps separate to the kayak. Instead of spending about 600+ on a simple kayak I bought the Osprey off these guys for $350 which didnt just come with the kayak but the paddle a strap for the paddle a seat and some rod holders without having to pay anything extra!Have taken the Osprey out on the water a few times and it runs smooth and quick it isnt too long or heavy and is great for just wanting to go out for a paddle on the water anywhere. I havent used any of the rod holders yet but if I wanted to go fishing I can just bring the rod and bait and use the side rod holders or bring out the 360 swivel holder that comes with the package and set it up.Overall for the amount I paid I got exactly what I paid for and more! Hi we ordered a gen9 the Wednesday before Christmas and it was delivered straight to the freight company that morning. Kayak2fish are a great company to deal with and very quick with there help and deliver. The kayak got used Boxing Day and even caugh a great feed of squid it was quite windy when I used it and handled the waves and chop really well. I bought the Nextgen9 just as a cheap fill in Kayak for a couple of months till my new Kayak arrives from the USA then on-sell the Nextgen9 to get some money back...First of all Im 120kg top heavy industrial sort of bloke & this little kayak performed great in the rapids & fast flowing water of the Buffalo River in the Victorian High country. I not only was comfortable in the quality seat but felt very safe & secure fishing & shooting rapids. Floats proud of the water (dont forget Im 120kg!) & tracks fairly well for a broad flat bottom. I can stand & paddle it like a SUP easily also for polaroiding fish in the clear waters. After using the Nextgen9 for a fortnight & putting it through its paces fishing & swimming everyday I will NOT be on-selling this little assault kayak but keeping it to fish the skinny waters of the High country! I would & have no fear dealing with Ben & the fellas at Kayaks2fish in Melbourne....Will be keeping an eye out for any new yaks from you guys!
