What is a Backorder?

When an item is out of stock and we don't have an exact ETA for the shipment, then the item goes on Backorder. Once the shipment is planned and it is assigned a date then the order goes from Backorder to Preorder. It allows you to order items in advance and get ahead in the queue, as most of the items such as Kayaks get sold out even before they arrive at the stores.

What is a Preorder?

Kayaks go on the preorder for the upcoming shipments. Due to the high demand for our Kayaks, they are sold out even before the shipment arrives. So it is best to place an order sooner than later to lock in the color and price. 

What is difference between Backorder and Preorder?

An item is assigned a backorder status when there is no exact shipment arrival date. Once we have a confirmed ETA, then the item goes from Backorder to Preorder. At each stage, as the shipment progresses you will be notified by email and SMS. 

How do I know if my Kayak has arrived?

Kayak shipment usually arrives within a couple of days (plus or minus) of the advertised date. Once the Kayaks are unloaded and become available for pick up, we will notify you via email and SMS.

Where can I find my order number?

Your order/invoice number can be found on the top right hand corner of your receipt.

Can Payment be made at Warehouses?

The only warehouses that accepts payment at the time of pick up are Newcastle and Sydney . For other warehouses the payment needs to be made online or over the phone .

How much is the delivery?

Please provide your suburb, postcode, and number of Kayaks you are interested in, we can then get back to you with a quote as quickly as possible.

How long does delivery take?

Most deliveries are completed within 2 business days, however, can sometimes take up to 2 weeks depending on your location.

How do I pay for delivery?

Once you have received a quote from us, the delivery cost can be paid over the phone or online. To pay online please visit and follow instructions on that page.

It is a $1 item and you would need to increase the quantity to match the delivery cost.

What if you cannot deliver to me?

If we cannot freight to your location, you are more then welcome to organize your own freight to collect and deliver.

If you were wanting to do this we can organize for the kayak to be wrapped and ready for transport.

We can also attach any label you may need onto it.


Or you may have other options like friends or family to collect on your behalf?

How is the kayak packaged?

Kayaks come wrapped in a bubble wrap and plastic sheet. You don't need another padding to carry the Kayak.

Do the Kayaks stack on top of each other?

Yes, our Kayaks are designed to stack on top of each other. You can stack up to three Kayaks on top of the car roof safely.

Will a kayak fit inside of my SUV or wagon?

All of our kayaks upto 3m normally fit inside of a SUV or Wagon.

This is only if your rear seats fold down, aswell with your front seat tilted back and headrest off.

Do I need a lifejacket?

Rules in your state may be different to others however we always recommend using a life jacket, mandatory or not.

Do you transfer stock between warehouses?

All of our warehouses have their own stock, we do not transfer between warehouses.

If the particular warehouse is out of stock we will have a Pre-Sale for the ETA of the kayaks. If no Pre-Sale is present we do not have an ETA.

Does it come with the paddle and seat?

All of our kayak packages come with a seat and paddle.

What have you got in stock?

All of our stock can be found on our main page,

On sale = In stock ready for immedate collection.

Pre-sale = Not currently in stock, will be ready for collection from advised date.

Out of stock = Not currently in stock, no ETA on when more may arrive.

My order says dispatched, am I picking up or is it being delivered?

All of our prices are pick up only unless you have paid extra for delivery.

Can I come in and view the kayaks?

All of our warehouses have a Demo model except Eagle Farm you can view, please note all models or colours may not be available.

Can my friend pickup on my behalf?

Agents or persons picking up on your behalf must have a copy of your invoice and order number.

What is the best way to load a kayak?

You can turn the kayak upside down and tie down with two straps on either side on top of normal roof racks.

We do have systems such as K-Rack and Rack & Roll, that can make carting the kayak on to the roof racks safer and easier.

Are the kayaks measuresdwith the seat installed?

The measurement on our website is without the seat installed.

Where are your kayaks made ?

Our kayaks are manufactured in China however the plastic is imported from the UK .

How to find the hull thickness of the kayak?

Kayak hull thickness is 4-5mm for all Puffinn, Osprey, Nextgen 9 , Nextgen 10 and Eagle.

Why are some warehouses range limited (E.G The Falcon)?

The Falcon and others like the Gannet and Orca is only available from Newcastle or Sydney, we may think about bringing these to other warehouses in the future.

Does the Nextgen 10 really need a rudder? Can I leave the rudder off?

The rudder really does help, but its not essential .

The rudder comes assembled on the NextGen10 kayak, you can choose not to deploy it or not.

Which kayak is best for teenagers for leisure ?

Our Osprey or NextGen kayaks would suit best, we have plenty of customers that still use fishing kayaks for leisure .

Can I use the Double Kayak alone?

.A single person can use double the kayak . You just need to distribute the weight evenly (i.e if ypu sit on the back seat, have some weight such as cooler box placed in the front and vice versa), it's OK to seat in the middle seat as well.

Which kayak is better to take the dog ?

NextGen10 and up would be better as there is more space .

Which double kayak (with child seat) is the best all rounder for lakes, rivers and ocean?

We only have one type of double Kayak (with child seat). It is most suitable for lakes, rivers, lagoons. It is not recommended for ocean where you may encounter large swells or waves .

Can the osprey kayak be stacked on top of nextgen 9 on roof rack for transport ?

Yes the Osprey and NextGen9 can stack, the Nextgen first then the Osprey ontop.

How long does it usually take to get a notice after payment that the order is ready to collect

Kayaks in stock are ready for immediate pickup, you usually receive all pickup information the next busniess day morning.

How long will you keep my kayak after ordering?

We can understand things happen, we can hold the kayak for upto 2 weeks from order date.

Please note: Not all accessories are available in all warehouses, so we can dispatch them from our Newcastle NSW warehouse for an extra charge.

What is owe pressure ?

Owe pressure is the battery level , where you can get an instant state of battery charge and speed levels, 5 levels LED battery indicator, which tells you how much battery life you have left and the speed levels.

Do aluminium seats fit on the standard Osprey kayak?

Unfortunately not, our seats are designed for the NextGen kayaks
